Dona Speir

NCRC I, II Personal Recovery & Assistant

I first entered into an treatment facility in November 1995, after an active management career in the beauty and restaurant industries. I was 32 years old.

Sober since then, I have become an active and successful advocate for sobriety at every level, first serving on the Board of Directors for New Directions for Women in Costa Mesa, California.

While serving my local community, I started a woman’s group called “The Firing Line of Life” which gave newly sober woman access to quality sponsorship through a structured atmosphere. The group was so successful that local recovery homes and sober living environments began attending for the immense value.

In 2005, I became involved in The Lynn House, a rehab/detox center for women that houses, feeds and clothes woman for 30 days at no charge. My commitment and strong work ethic once again earned me a spot on the Board of Directors of The Lynn House. After becoming a successful realtor in Orange County, I then Co-Chaired Fundraising for the Lynn house and became Chairman of Daily Operations.

In 2013, I became a Sober Campanian for high profile and celebrity based clients. Living in their homes anywhere from 7 days to 6 months. Realizing that my clients needed more action-based goal setting, I then continued my education and became certified as a Recovery Coach.
